U.S. Snooze and World Report Rankings

As I remember it, Dartmouth and Princeton were once peers. Well, at least we're better than Northwestern!! See -- U.S. Snooze

Yikes! Another urban legend in the making. Like the Earl of Dartmouth being a donor (he refused) or Captain Kangaroo being an alum (only an honorary degree).

Memories of the past glories and traditions are so often romantic, but not real.

I could only find data going back to 1991, but I do not remember Dartmouth ever rivaling HYP. Because of how Useless News and Worthless Distort calculates the ranking, it's hard to see how Dartmouth could ever get listed higher than HYP, Stanford, MIT, or Cal Tech.

Just be happy we're not Brown or Cornell.

I never said Dartmouth rivaled HYP ... only Pee. Admittedly I'm going back 30 years further than you, but I think we had an equal amount of gravitas to Pee back then. (And we could play football too!) And even from your data, we have been slipping over the last 17 years. And who is responsible for this? The same administration who now is veto-proof thanks to the naivete of many of our alums.
